Happy Mother's Day!

What a fun day! Connor and Scott did a great job making my first official Mother's Day fantastic. I got to sleep in, they both got me very nice cards and I got a super fancy coffee maker! The Keurig is the fourth coffee maker Scott has bought me thru the years, and surely my favorite so far.

A visit to the Park

Oops! We missed the entire month of March - the days just keep going by. We are having a great time as a family of three and enjoying every minute!

Connor had an impromptu visit to Baby Dr. B this week, he was having some sickness that just wouldn't go away. Turns out it's nothing serious but we did find out he is up to 18 lbs. 8 oz! He's getting so big.

At the end of March we went to McCloud Nature Park in North Salem for a Maple Syrup weekend and had a yummy pancake breakfast with all proceeds benefiting the The Parks Foundation of Hendricks County. I've served on the Board of the HC Parks and Recreation Department for almost five years and I've seen the group acquire two additional parks, hire a supurb staff, and open the north side of McCloud through the restoration of a historic bridge. February update - seven months old!

I know I start every post by admitting we're bad bloggers, but the guilt is overwhelming! Here's a little update from our corner of the world...

We had pictures done earlier this month so some 6.5 month photos are below. In medical news Connor has been released from Dr. L - no more surgeries and everything has healed up and no return visit required. YEAH! We saw Baby Dr. B this week to get his six month shots (couldn't get them at well baby visit because still under surgeon care) and she thought he was doing very well. Almost 17 lbs - can you believe it! Regarding the monitor he is off the monitor but not released from Dr. S yet. We aren't sure when we will be going back, they have been a tad difficult to work with. Scott takes care of that. :)







Connor had his first foods this month and started with rice cereal then progressed to sweet potatoes, carrots, butternut squash, banana (no LIKEY!) and just last night applesauce.

He loves his exersaucer, pulling on Yoshi's tail, playing with his sillytown, hanging with his grandparents, going to Wendi's, banging on things and smiling A LOT!

What a week!

It's tough being a baby. He has recently starting holding his own bottle, sitting, followed quickly by sitting unassisted. He still rolls EVERYWHERE! Connor has quite the schedule. Monday we had his six month well baby visit with Baby Dr. B and she was very happy with him, he's right on track developmentally and physically. Stats are:

Weight 16 lbs. 6.5 ounces, 45th percentile
Height 27.25 inches, 72nd percentile
Head 17.82 inches, 87th percentile

Follow up with the surgeon, Dr. L was late Wednesday and he was happy with the way his incision was healing. Turns out his care changed again - one of these days they will tell us the right thing the first time. We also got word from the sleep lab, he could be off the monitor by the end of the month! We meet with Dr. S next week. It would be good to go lead free given this next tidbit...

Yoshi had surgery Friday 2/5 to remove four electrodes out of six he chowed down on Thursday. They had to remove one from his tummy and unlodge the gelpack that was blocking the exit to his intestines. Once that was done, the other three quickly moved to the colon and made their own way out. He has the cone and is really uncomfortable. They are pretty rudimentary with open surgery and sutures with animals it seems since they don't plan on bearing it all in a swimsuit later this season. Stitches will come out in about 10 days. Thanks to Doggie Doctor B for getting him all fixed up!

A teeny update...

The days just keep marching by and Connor is getting bigger and bigger! He will be six months old on the 29th - we just can't believe it. He rolls over front to back and back to front and rolling is his preferred mode of transportation. He rolls all over the living room to get to his toys. He's also started to sit up on his own, it lasts about 20 seconds before he falls over and laughs but it's too cute.

In medical news he is no longer on oxygen and should be off the apnea monitor in the next month. He is facing one more surgery most likely in the next week or two and hopefully we can take a good long break from visiting Riley Hospital.

He was also pretty happy about his Colts win...
